Litigation/Crisis Communications Professional – Mid-Level

Ideal candidates are self-starters with the ability to grasp complex subject matters and communicate quickly and strategically. Candidates should have strong writing and research skills, media relations experience, management experience, and the ability to formulate effective communication strategies and messages for crisis and litigation clients, as well as public affairs work.

Applicants must have between 2-5 years of professional communications experience in order to be considered. Prior experience in litigation communications is highly preferred for this role as the legal process with which we work, and the language used in this sector of communications are highly specialized. Additionally, experience at another strategic communications agency, in the legislative or executive branches of a state or the federal government, at a law firm or in a litigation communications role, in politics or journalism is also valued for this role.

Responsibilities for this mid-level position include:

  • Contributing to strategic planning for accounts and engaging with clients
  • Managing specific projects and work streams
  • Presenting strategies and ideas to existing clients and to potential new clients
  • Assisting in the day-to-day execution of client work
  • Writing, including media statements, question and answer documents, research summaries, op-eds, talking points, memos, social media content and other communications materials
  • Pitching stories, managing incoming media, establish/cultivate media relationships, and other media relations activities
